Dansmuseet is a unique museum for dance and movement, with costumes, masks and visual arts, founded in Stockholm by Rolf de Maré in 1953. The Museum has a long, fascinating history that extends from the Hallwyl Palace at Hamngatan in Stockholm, to the Ballets Suédois’ home at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, out farther into the world and finally back to Stockholm.
